South Korean series and movies have gained a lot of popularity across the globe thanks to digital platforms. Netflix is a leader when it comes to global content. The digital giant has a huge collection of Korean shows and movies and the best among them is Kingdom. Launched on 25th Jan 2019, Kingdom is Netflix’s first original Korean series. The series is adapted from the webcomic series The Kingdom of the Gods, which was authored by Kim Eun-hee and drawn by Yang Kyung-il.
Directed by Kim Eun-hee, Kingdom has received a superb response from the audience across the world. The second season of the series premiered on 13 March 2020 was also a huge hit worldwide. Now, the viewers are waiting for Kingdom season 3. We are pretty much sure that it would be put sooner or later. Here are some details about season 3.
Kingdom season 3 release date: When will it return on Netflix?
Though there is no official announcement, our sources revealed that the third season is definitely on cards. Kingdom season 1 premiered on 25 January 2019, and season two arrived just over a year later on 13 March 2020. Going by this schedule, we’d expect season 3 to premiere in mid-2021.

However, the entertainment industry is on a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic. On March 15, 2020, Netflix halted filming of all its originals. So, there would be a schedule change and delay in the production of several shows including Kingdom. I would rather expect the season 3 to arrive in late 2021 or early 2022.

Kingdom season 3 plot: What will happen next?
In the last scene of season two, South Korean star Jun Ji Hyun appeared in a mysterious new role. She will have a prominent role in the next season. Season three will pick up from where season two concluded i.e. seven years and three months after the initial zombie outbreak. It would be interesting to see what Jun Ji Hyun’s character is up to.
