In Mantua, this year too, there will be many dreamy historic cars, coming from every corner of the world, for the 2020 Nuvolari Grand Prix, confirmed despite the Coronavirus
Although the organizers’ work has been slowed down by the epidemiological emergency since Covid-19, the Nuvolari 2020 Grand Prix sees his dates confirmed. The event, scheduled from 17 to 20 September, should therefore not slip, but it will be necessary to take into account the evolution of the health framework.
This motor event, now in its thirtieth edition, gathers splendid historic cars every year, taking them for a walk in memory of Tazio Nuvolari. Always, most of the crews at the starting belts are foreigners, proving the goodness of the formula, which attracts collectors in Mantua, on their vintage jewels signed by prestigious car manufacturers such as Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Jaguar , Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Mercedes and Porsche, to name a few.
Coronavirus permitting, a great motor rendezvous is announced once again, to write a new page of a noble tradition. Every year the Nuvolari Grand Prix brings together splendid vintage cars, built between 1919 and 1972, to honor the unforgettable myth of “Nivola”, considered by many to be the best driver of all time.
Nuvolari Grand Prix 2019: the Fiat 508 C of Passanante and De Alessandrini wins
The Fiat 508 C of Mario Passanante and Raffaella De Alessandrini wins the 2019 Nuvolari Grand Prix.
The public – if the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19 will let go – will be able to enjoy a parade of precious (and sometimes legendary) cars that, with their perfectly preserved bodywork, will give the pleasure of immersing yourself in the history of the four wheels, from the first after the war to the mythical 70s, passing through the unmistakable style of the Dolce Vita.
Recall that the Nuvolari Grand Prix is an international regularity event for historic cars. The 2020 edition will develop in three stages, along the classic route and most appreciated by the participants: Mantua-Rimini-Siena-Rimini-Mantua. The return to the base will take place after 1,000 kilometers and will end with a farewell lunch served within the walls of Palazzo Ducale and the award ceremony at the Bibiena Theater.
